1. Using Type Folio
These terms apply to the Type Folio app and website, provided by the Type Folio developer (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the app and website.
Use Type Folio for lawful personal play. If you cannot legally agree to these terms on your own, ask a parent or guardian to review them and supervise your use. The terms of the app store you use also apply.
2. Guest play & accounts
You can begin as a guest. Guest progress is held on your device and may be lost if you remove the app, clear its data, or lose the device. Sign in to access account-based progress and synchronization.
Keep your sign-in details secure and use an account you are entitled to access. Do not impersonate another player. Signing out, changing accounts, or signing in on another device may change which progress and coin balance you see. Contact us if something looks wrong.
3. Progress & leaderboards
Gameplay can award points, stars, and achievements. Your public player name, avatar, score, and rank may appear on the global leaderboard. Rankings change as scores are recorded and other players progress.
Do not alter game data, automate play to gain an unfair advantage, falsify purchase records, or exploit bugs to obtain coins or scores. We may correct invalid progress or restrict misuse of online features. Contact us if you believe a correction is mistaken.
4. Coins & purchases
Coins can be used for missions, custom spaces, and available boosts. The app shows the cost before you spend. Coins and game rewards cannot be transferred to other players or exchanged for money.
Coin packages, where available, are consumable in-app purchases. You must sign in before buying. Review the package and local store price before approving payment. Your app store processes the payment, while Type Folio verifies the transaction and credits the associated account.
Restoring purchases does not refill coins already spent or duplicate a previously credited transaction. Refund eligibility and processing follow your store’s rules and applicable law. See Purchases & Refunds for help.
5. Your custom words
You keep any rights you hold in original words, names, and other content you enter. You allow us to store and process that content as needed to provide the features you use, including account synchronization.
Do not include content that infringes someone else’s rights, is unlawful, or exposes another person’s private information. Avoid putting sensitive information into custom spaces or public usernames.
6. Artwork & ownership
Type Folio’s code, branding, original artwork, and website content belong to their respective rights holders. Using the app does not transfer ownership of those materials. Third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses.
You may not redistribute the app or its assets without permission, except where applicable law allows it.
7. Availability & changes
Features, word collections, game balance, and supported devices may change. “Coming soon” describes a planned feature or release, without a guaranteed launch date. Online functions require a working connection and service availability.
We work to provide a reliable experience, but do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free play, or recovery of unsynchronized data. If these terms change, the updated version will appear here with a revised date, with additional notice where required.
8. Leaving Type Folio
You can stop using the app at any time. Removing the app does not delete an online account. Use Profile → Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account to request deletion in the app. See Account Deletion for what is removed and what may be retained.
Account deletion is permanent and does not automatically request a purchase refund.
9. Your rights & questions
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the app and website are provided as available. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, remedies, warranties, or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
